Get Your Running Shoes On!

With the Gran Maraton just two weeks away, the director, teachers and students are working tirelessly to promote and register participants.  It seems like every day, there is a van load of people heading off to a different place to talk about El Hogar and to peak people's interest.

On Saturday, Profe Heyser and the Marimba band went downtown to perform and promote for the afternoon.  With the help of Gustavo, the truck is loaded... and then unloaded.  I've never seen a marimba cross a busy street before...

The band set up and played for almost two hours.  They put on a fantastic show, and many people stopped to listen, take photos and videos.  It was a true collaborative effort with three boys from the Technical Institute coming to help out.  Profe Heyser's brother even came to play a few songs.

On Sunday, the promotional poster made it's way to church.

Today, a group made their way to an office downtown where Doña Tona's daughter, Iris, works.  They did three rounds of presentations.  Jimy summarised what El Hogar is all about.

And they brought in the showstopper, Eduardo Bennet himself, for the finale.

This evening another group headed to the Universidad Technologica de Honduras where Profe Heyser and Profe Karen both study for another round of promotion...
